Overnight Stay in Atulayan Island, Camarines Sur

This is my first summer trip for 2017. I am nearly four months resigned from work because I decided to move back to the province. I uprooted myself to explore career opportunities in Manila but I guess I was meant for the island life.

Funny how I see the line where the sky meets the sea and it calls me. LOL

Atulayan Island is situated off the coast of Sagñay (pronounced as Sangay). It is less popular than its neighboring beaches of Caramoan. But it does not fell short in beauty and charm.

It was a two-hour bus ride from Naga City to Tigaon and a 15-minute boat ride from Nato port.

Below photo is an attempt at mastering the art of thirdwheeling. Good heavens, these two are inseparable. Di ako bitter!

We have arrived past four in the afternoon just in time to mount our tent, prepare dinner, and witness the changing sky hues.

We were welcomed by some furry friends but got snubbed by this cutie. He ran away before I even get a hold of him.

I named this little one, Pulgoso. Nasaan si Marimar?

The sunset is absolutely breathtaking. Perfect view if you are feeling senti.

The sound of the waves is so calming. We woke up earlier at the sound of it and waited for Mr. Sunshine.

Look at my friends admiring nature’s beauty while waiting for sunrise. Unfortunately, we were at the wrong side. Naghintay, Umasa, Nasaktan. #CampSawi

Yet consoled because God blessed us with a perfect weather that day. We did a few minute downhill trek to get a better view of the island.

And boy, it did not disappoint.

I’ll run out of adjectives to describe how beautiful the place is. If she is a girl in love, I’d say she is so blooming and fresh.

I can vouch that the island need no instagram filter.

I will definitely visit this gem of an island again.

Keep wandering.
